Mystic Managed, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Optimystic,” “we,” “us”), offers a spiritual wellness app at optimysticapp.com where members explore practices, take sessions, reflect, and connect with guides and one another. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Your reflections and inner journey are personal. We designed Optimystic to keep them that way: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your reflections publicly.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us.

  • Account details: your name, email address, and password (or your Google account, if you choose to sign in with Google).
  • Profile details you choose to add, such as a display name, handle, city, short bio, and profile photo.
  • Your answers to our onboarding quiz, the reflections you write during or after sessions, and prompt ideas you submit for community circles.
  • Messages you send us, and your email if you join our waitlist.
  • Practitioners also provide a headshot, practices, biography, birthday, pronouns, location, credentials, social links, and the content they submit. A practitioner's birthday is kept private and is not shown on their public profile.

Information collected as you use Optimystic.

  • Activity in the app, such as sessions you start, complete, or save, your progress, guides you follow, and circles you join.
  • Basic technical information needed to run the service, such as sign-in records, device and browser type, and IP address.

Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and plan, but we never see or store your full card number.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • To personalize your experience, such as recommending sessions based on your quiz answers and activity.
  • To save your reflections and progress so you can revisit them.
  • To run community features, such as circles, and to show practitioner profiles and content.
  • To process subscriptions and manage billing.
  • To send you service emails, such as sign-in codes, password resets, and important account notices.
  • To understand how Optimystic is used so we can improve it, and to keep the service safe and prevent misuse.

3. What others can see

Your reflections and quiz answers are private to you. If you take part in community features, other members may see your display name, handle, profile photo, and anything you choose to share in those spaces.

Practitioners' public profiles show the details they choose to publish (such as name, photo, practices, biography, location, credentials, and social links) after review by the Optimystic team.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run Optimystic:

  • Service providers who host and operate the app on our behalf, including Supabase (database, accounts, and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments), and Google (if you sign in with Google). They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
  • Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our members, Optimystic, or others.
  • Business changes, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and your browser's local storage to remember some preferences and in-app progress on your device. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain records (for example, billing records) for legal, tax, or security reasons.

7. Your choices and rights

  • You can view and update your profile information in the app.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your profile page using “Delete my account.” This permanently removes your account, profile, reflections, and activity, and cancels any active subscription.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@optimysticapp.com.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. We will honor those rights as required. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, and email confirmation of new sign-ins, to protect your information. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

9. Children

Optimystic is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. The “Last updated” date above shows when this policy last changed.
